q Does any needle work?
a Yes, so long as the thread fits. The holes in the book are made with the awl so the needle is only to guide the thread.
q How long does the thread need to be?
a I'm not sure, I just use about 2 feet and tie more on (between holes on the spine) if I run out.
I know what to do just have no idea how to go about explaining things like sewing in detail Dx
