That is true, but my mother has about 6-7 in each ear, a tongue stud, and her belly button pierced but since she doesn't wear clothing that shows off her belly button nor talks with a lisp no one notices, and even though she has so many in her ears and keeps her hair short no one has never taken her unprofessionally.
I believe when it comes to piercing it all depends on attitude, and what kind of piercing you put in. There are some people who have only one piercing but if that one, is a 2 gauge, neon green, piercing would you take them as seriously compared to someone who has three normal size silver studs
I have about 7. 3 on both ears and a belly button peircing, but I want to get a few lip piercings too. I think as long as you can either take them out or put clear piercings in for work then it is ok, or if they are somewhere not seen anyways like tongue or something its ok too lol, but we all have our own preferance on this topic
Since I have already 4 I go with 3-5 piercings. But I think it realy depends on the person having them and the places where they are at to tell what is "acceptable on an average member of society" Personally, I think that even more than 10 piercings can be ok if they are placed right and the person doesn't have this "Wannbe"-look
That's true. I think having as many as four on the ears looks fine and can still even be considered professional when they work. I think my sister has 7 or so on her face and ears (don't honestly know about the rest of the body, don't want to know either...) so I think in her case it can really limit her job opportunities and label her as one of 'those people'.
