I think piercings are fine. You can have visible piercings and still be professional. It's all n your mannerism, if you act professional you will (o rat least should) be treated that way.
Too much is bad...goes with everything in general. Too much piercings would probably cause an infection or gangrene (heaven forbid!), so just be careful.
The again, my sister who already has four piercings on her ear, and still wants more.
Oh, and she's a chemist, and she takes them off whenever she's working. So I guess it depends on the discretion of the person on how responsble he/she is on their piercings.
That is true, but my mother has about 6-7 in each ear, a tongue stud, and her belly button pierced but since she doesn't wear clothing that shows off her belly button nor talks with a lisp no one notices, and even though she has so many in her ears and keeps her hair short no one has never taken her unprofessionally.
I believe when it comes to piercing it all depends on attitude, and what kind of piercing you put in. There are some people who have only one piercing but if that one, is a 2 gauge, neon green, piercing would you take them as seriously compared to someone who has three normal size silver studs
I have about 7. 3 on both ears and a belly button peircing, but I want to get a few lip piercings too. I think as long as you can either take them out or put clear piercings in for work then it is ok, or if they are somewhere not seen anyways like tongue or something its ok too lol, but we all have our own preferance on this topic
Since I have already 4 I go with 3-5 piercings. But I think it realy depends on the person having them and the places where they are at to tell what is "acceptable on an average member of society" Personally, I think that even more than 10 piercings can be ok if they are placed right and the person doesn't have this "Wannbe"-look
